Start First.....

Today was Sydney's first day of kindergarden (or Start First)! Our schools have a program set up so that the kindergarden students go for the week for a few hours and learn about the school, and to get them ready for "real" school to start. They are then out for a week and then start with the rest of the school.

Sydney LOVED her teacher. She has several people she knows in her class and said that she just "might" go back tomorrow! I love the innocence of little kids! =)

  1. I'm over from Jenna's blog hop, and that is too cute. I love how little kids approach new things. It's great that she likes her teacher!

  2. I'm here from Jenna's. I'm so glad I found your blog, as I have a daughter starting kindergarten this year too. Our school starts August 9th. We don't have any programs like that for the kindergarteners, but I wish we did! That's a great idea!

That is a really awesome idea, the Start First. Too bad more schools don't do that!!!

  4. Hi. Stopping by from Jenna's.

When do your schools start?! Wow!! I love the idea of having the Kindergarteners go early and practice school. When I taught K, my students did that and it was great.

Hope she has a great day tomorrow!

  6. I LOVE that the school does this! We start "real" school Aug 9th. It's great to help the little ones (and us mama's too LOL!) get over being scared or upset.
