Sydney's new earrings...

Sydney has been begging to get her ears pierced or "pierced ears" for the past 2 years. We finally caved and let her today! She was so excited until time to get into the chair. She got nervous and wasn't so sure anymore but decided she wanted to go ahead. We let her pick out the earrings she wanted. She of course chose pink. Her nana also bought her some really nice pink lady bug and dragon fly earrings.

Getting ready to get her ears pierced.

On the count of 3....

One........Two......
Three......There were no tears....NOTHING!!!!

for all of 10 seconds. LOL! And then this She cried HUGE alligator tears and literally jumped into my arms. And then it was over. She was so big and done a GREAT job. She she was able to pick out two more pairs for later on. She wanted the cupcakes and icecream cones. Both with pink of course. ;) The girls that pierced her ears were so good. They had given her a lollipop before hand and told her to put it in her mouth and tell them the flavor when they said 3. Sydney did not even LOOK at the sucker until later. When she was picking out her other earrings she put it in and told them that it was banana split. ;)

Sydney- I am so proud of you. You were such a big girl! I think you are beautiful with your pink earrings!

Fun in the sun...

We went to the beach this weekend to just "get away" for a couple of days! The weather was AMAZING. The kids are starting to LOVE the beach as much as their daddy and I do. =) I would literally live there if I could. Something about crossing the bridge puts a smile on my face and I'm totally happy. All we did was play on the beach, look for crabs, and swim. Sydney has just started to swim (still with her floaties but with out me or daddy). She is adorable. At night we would go walk on the beach and look for crabs. The kids LOVE this. It melts my heart seeing them light up and squeal with excitement as they try to catch the crabs.

The boys trying to "block" the crab.
Saturday night we had a wedding reception we went to but afterwards we went to play putt putt golf. Sydney actually got 3 hole in ones. =)

Looking for crabs with the boys. I bought them their own flashlights and lights for them to wear. They were so cute!

Again looking for crabs. Trent has started acting goofy when taking pictures....He will make some of the craziest/silliest pictures.

The place we stayed had a kiddie area. They kids LOVED it but the water was FREEZING!!!! No matter what time of day or what the temperture was.
We had SOOOO much fun. Hopefully we can go back one more time before it gets to cool to go. Hope that you guys had a great weekend too!

Perdido Key - Orange Beach, Al

I should be packing for my trip to Michigan tomorrow BUT I wanted to blog about trip before I leave. Yesterday afternoon we headed down to Perdido Key to stay so that Sydney could help out at the OLM prelim pageant. We got in later than we had wanted so we went to dinner and then took the little ones walking on the beach. We had so much fun just playing around and "looking" for crabs.

Sydney getting her OLM Universal Beauty Robe

So pretty...

Sydney and Brooklyn

Keeping with tradition by sleeping with your robe the night you get it.
She was sooo excited.

Labor day cont...

We stayed at the Boardwalk this year and LOVED it. They have so much for kids! At night they blow up an inflatible thing with a screen in it and had a movie on the beach. We decided to order pizza and watch the movie. The kids LOVED watching Marmaduke on the beach. At one point a boat that was off shore started shooting TONS of fireworks. Then they wanted to swim and walk on the beach and look for crabs. We stayed up WAY to late but had sooo much fun, so I think it was definitely worth them staying up for.

They melt my heart.....=)
It's hard to see but Trevor is holding a small crab and
Trent isn't to sure about it. haha

I love the sun setting at the beach.

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the beach.

Good Bye Summer....

Labor Day marks the "end" of summer in most places....Just not South Alabama ;) We decided to head to the beach and put our toes in the sand. We absolutely LOVE the water and are so thankful to live so close to the beach. The weather was perfect and the water was beautiful.

Trevor LOVES to boogie board and loves the ocean....
Trent had to pose for me while conning his sister into "pulling" him
on the sand on his boogie board.
Sydney showing off her dance moves...

Trevor and Trent had to try out the surf boards at Pier Park.
This was sooo funny. Trent would fall off and then they would
make Trevor's really move around so he would fall too.

More pictures to come.....
